Terms of use

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This is a translation of the Spanish original. If the two ever differ, the Spanish version prevails.

These terms govern the use of the Chuzi app and this website. Using them means accepting them. They are written to be understood on the first read.

1. Who provides the service

Pol Canet Bartés, in the province of Barcelona (Spain). Contact: chuzisupport@gmail.com.

2. What Chuzi is

An Android app, with its companion app for Wear OS watches, that logs gym workouts, cardio activities and meals, and works out advice from your own history. It is free: no subscription, no in-app purchases and no ads.

3. Chuzi is not medical advice

This is the most important part of this page.

  • Chuzi is not a medical device and does not replace a doctor, a physiotherapist or a coach.
  • The advice is calculations on the numbers you logged. It doesn’t know whether you slept badly, are carrying an injury or whether that technique suits you.
  • The weights, calories and goals it shows are for guidance only.
  • Before starting a training program, and especially if you have any health condition, see a professional.
  • Lifting weights carries a risk of injury. You train at your own risk.

4. Proper use

By using Chuzi you agree to:

  • Give truthful details when creating an account, and keep your password safe.
  • Not use it for anything illegal, or to harass or impersonate others on the social side.
  • Not try to break it, overload it, scrape its data or get around its technical limits.
  • Be at least 14 years old.

If you break these rules, the account may be suspended. You will be warned first unless the case is serious or urgent.

Routines you publish

If you publish a routine in Discover, anyone with an account sees it, next to your display name, and can copy and use it. By publishing it you accept these rules:

  • No insults, hate, harassment or sexual content.
  • No links, phone numbers, emails or advertising.
  • No dangerous advice: no doping, no extreme loads or diets.
  • Only content that is yours or that you are allowed to share.

Anyone can report a routine or block its author. Routines with reports or with disallowed text are hidden until they are reviewed, and they may be removed. The routine is still yours: you give permission to show it and for others to copy it while it is published, and you can unpublish it whenever you like (anyone who already copied it keeps their copy). Other people’s routines are advice from other users, not from Chuzi: read point 3.

5. Your account and your data

You can use Chuzi without an account. If you create one, it gives you a backup and the social side. You can delete it from Settings whenever you like, and what it had in the cloud is deleted too. What is done with your data is in the privacy policy.

What you log is yours. No rights are claimed over your workouts, and you can export them to CSV whenever you feel like it.

6. Intellectual property

The Chuzi name, its icon, its design and its code belong to their owner. You are granted a personal, free and revocable licence to use the app; not to copy it, resell it or make derivative works.

Some content comes from third parties and keeps its licence:

  • wger — exercise illustrations and descriptions, under Creative Commons and ODbL licences.
  • free-exercise-db — exercise data, under the Unlicense.
  • Open Food Facts — food data, under the ODbL.
  • Google Maps — the map cardio routes are drawn on.

The details of each attribution are inside the app, in Settings.

7. Availability

Chuzi is provided as is. Every effort is made to keep it working, but it is not guaranteed to be available without interruptions or free of errors. There may be downtime for maintenance or because of failures in the third-party services it depends on.

Keep copies of what matters to you: CSV export exists for exactly that.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for injuries resulting from training, for decisions made based on the app’s advice, for the loss of data you haven’t exported, or for indirect damages.

None of this limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer, nor liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence. If any clause were void, the rest remains in force.

9. Changes

These terms may change. If the change is significant, you are told inside the app with reasonable notice. Continuing to use it afterwards means accepting the new version; if you’re not happy with it, you can stop using it and delete your account.

10. Governing law

Spanish law applies. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim before the courts where you live, and the European online dispute resolution platform is also available to you.
